July 4th Weekend

Our holiday weekend felt like a little vacation. Here is a snapshot of what it looked like...
Friday Night:
  • John and I had dinner with some friends and talked about some exciting opportunities for me in the near future

  • Met up with friends (Steve and Kara) and enjoyed yummy ice cream

  • Stayed up late catching up

Saturday:

  • Slept in

  • Made strawberry pancakes for breakfast - actually, John made them

  • Did some more catching up - that is what happens when you live far away from friends

  • Went to the park and played Crockett

  • Went to a BBQ with family and friends

Sunday:

  • Went to church - which I absolutely loved! I had not been to a Sunday service since May. John and I were teaching Sunday school in May, so we missed the services. Shortly after, John had surgery and we had to miss a couple more Sundays. Last week I was teaching Sunday school again. Needless to say, this past Sunday felt like a drop of fresh water in the middle of a desert. It was wonderful to listen to the word of God being taught.

  • Had lunch with family

  • Waited for the rain to go away so we could go to the park to watch fireworks

  • Rain never went away

  • Watching fireworks in the rain

Monday:

  • Slept in

  • Had yummy breakfast

  • Went on a hike with my sister!
  • Celebrated a friend's birthday :)

All in all, this was an awesome weekend full of fun!
