Working Together

I love it when I have the opportunity to work with John! I truly believe that we are better together...and I often wish we could be together all the time.

I don't get to spend every minute of the day with my beloved, but I do get to spend lots of time with him during wedding season. John and I have photographed almost every wedding together since I started my photography business a few years ago. I love working with him because we know each other so well. We know each other's strengths and weaknesses. We know our equipment. We know the wedding day plan. We anticipate each other's needs and we know our work flow so well that we hardly have to talk about it. 

This past weekend's wedding reminded me how much I enjoy being one with my husband. We are better together and I wouldn't want to live life any other way.

Nine Months Old

Sariah...

• Claps all the time
• Can climb up stairs by herself
• Gives mama the most wonderful, slobbery kisses on earth
• Has lots of tumbles throughout a day
• Laughs in her stroller when mom and dad are jogging down hill
• Does not like to crawl on grass or anywhere outdoors
• Holds on to her blanket when she goes to sleep
• Went on her second hike and loved it even more than the first hike a few months ago
• Waves to all the doggies at the parks we visit
• Gets the cheerios container from the diaper bag and brings it over to mommy or daddy when she wants a snack
• Likes to touch buttons where ever she finds them
• Scrunches her nose when smiling
• Is learning to obey mommy and daddy
• Pants when she crawls
• Went on her first trip to Orcas Island and saw lots of water while on the ferry
• Can stand for a few seconds without holding on to anything
• Had lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa Bear for 8 hours while mommy and daddy photographed a wedding

Diamonds

Before John and I started dating, we were having a conversation about diamonds with some friends when I declared that I didn't really care to have a diamond engagement ring someday. I didn't know this at the moments, but my response took John by surprise. 

I have to admit that I think diamonds are beautiful (and shiny!), but they also represent a lot of things I do not agree with.
